”And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
Do you feel sometimes like your good deeds have gone unnoticed? Do you feel sometimes like something you have done should have produced a bigger result- should have had a bigger impact – should have been read by more people- should have been noticed by more people? God tells us to not to grow weary. As I write this prayer not knowing if anyone is reading it, I can relate to the words in this scripture, but I am being faithful to what God has asked me to do each and every day and that is all I am responsible for – the rest is up to God and His divine plan and timing.

Heavenly Father, I pray for everyone who is doing good and is sometimes discouraged because the impact is not what they thought it would be. I pray that in the end everyone that has been reaping in faith and obedience will see the harvest of their efforts. I pray for patience and perserverance for all of us. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7
If you plant apple seeds, a pear tree will not grow. If you plant a marigold, it will not bear tomatoes. It is as simple as that. If you sow bitterness and resentment, you will not receive love and kindness. Your work will not be successful, if you do not take the steps necessary to make it successful. A professional athlete does not become a great athlete by watching shows about great athletes – he or she must put in the work required to become great.

Heavenly Father, I pray that we will understand the simple principle of sowing and reaping. I pray that we will sow faith, kindness, humility, love and joy so that we can reap those things. I pray for Your strength, wisdom and guidance. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”Then the Lord answered me and said “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it: Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:2
Do you have a vision you have received from God, but it has yet to come to pass? Hold onto this passage of scripture. Hold onto this encouragement that although it tarries – it will come to pass! Trust in God’s timing – which is simply one of the hardest things that we do here on earth.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every vision that has been given by You. I pray that You will give each of us the faith, strength, courage and resources necessary to see each vision come top ass. I pray that we will each have the ability to trust Your Divine Timing. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones grow weak.” Psalm 31:9
Sometimes life is just this hard. Sometimes distress seems to be the only adjective to describe the season you are in. Sometimes anguish seems to be your constant companion. Sometimes you don’t know where to turn or who to turn to. Those are the times that you need to turn to God and cry out to Him in honesty and truth. Desperate times call for a powerful God!

Heavenly Father, I pray for all those who this day can say that these are the words on their heart. I pray for all those who are growing weary and are in anguish. I pray that You will quickly come to their rescue and pull them out of the pit and place them on high ground. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”As He looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. ‘I tell you the truth,’ He said, ‘this poor widow has put in more than the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.'” Luke 21:1-4
When my precious mother-in-law, Ellie Monroe, passed away, this is the passage of scripture that God asked me to speak at her funeral. She did not have much but gave much. She lived a life of putting others first. She gave from the heart. She loved to send out cards to everyone for every occasion. She was a selfless woman. I pray to be more and more like Ellie each day.

Heavenly Father, I pray that you will give us the faith of this poor widow who gave out of her poverty and not her abundance. Examine our hearts and our motives. Transform us so that our actions will be honorable in Your sight. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring. My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.” James 3:7-12
Long before motivational speakers were discussing the power of positive thinking, God's Word was telling us that what we say matters. Do you say things like “I will never get a good job,” “I will never have any money,” “I will never amount to anything.” If you do, stop it now. God cannot overrule what you say with your own mouth. If you slip up and let a negative thought slip out, simply say “I cancel that.” Speak words of life over yourself. Claim the promises of God. See yourself as successful before you are. Don't curse your own life with your own words.

Heavenly Father, I pray that we will all understand the power of the tongue. I pray that we will all speak words of blessing and not cursing over our own lives. I pray that we will claim Your Promises over our lives. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” John 10:27-30
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus refers to himself as the Good Shepherd and calls us His sheep. The shepherd’s job is to watch over his flock, to keep them safe and to guide and protect them. In this passage of scripture, Jesus explains that he is acting on behalf of his Heavenly Father and that He and the Father are one, and that all who believe in Him will enjoy eternal life.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Jesus the Good Shepherd who watches over us, who protects us, who guides us, who brings us back to the flock when we stray away. I thank You for the gift of eternal life through belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I pray for all those who have not yet been saved. Use us Lord to show them Jesus. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by Himself, saying, 'I will surely bless you and give you many descendants. And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.'” Hebrews 6:13
Do you have a promise from God that you are still waiting to be fulfilled? Waiting patiently wasn't just hard for Abraham – it is hard for most of us. Some promises take years to come to pass – even decades. We may think that God has forgotten us and the promise we have received, but that is never the case. God always fulfills His promises. His timing is always perfect. Often times, there are many other things that He is working out on our behalf before the promise can be realized. Trust His timing and His Word.

Heavenly Father, I pray for each of us to have the faith to trust in the promises that we have received. I pray for the patience to wait for Your Word to be fulfilled. I thank you that Your timing is perfect. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust, I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” Psalm 56:3-4
Do you trust God? It really comes down to that simple question. You either trust Him and His Word or you do not? We are all afraid at times. We all worry at times. But it comes down to this simple fact. We either trust that God is who He says He is or we don't. Each moment of each day regardless of the circumstances of your life, we must decide if we do, in fact, trust God.

Heavenly Father, I thank You that we can put our full trust in you regardless of the circumstances of our lives. I pray that You will help us each day to lay our problems at the foot of the cross and live our lives without fear and worry. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.” Psalm 119:76
Comfort is often times hard to come by in this world. Many people try to find comfort in food, drink, sex or drugs, but these things do not satisfy. We turn to people in the hope that they will give us comfort, but there is only one place to turn to receive the comfort we need to get us through the trials and tribulations of this world. Comfort for every situation can be found in the loving arms of Jesus! Ask God for comfort when you need it. He is always there.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will comfort all those who need comfort this day. I pray that the loving arms of Jesus will wrap around everyone who is hurt or in pain. I pray that they will feel Your presence and Your love each and every day. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.” Psalm 5:11
Have you ever shouted for joy because of your great love and gratitude towards your Heavenly Father? If not, try it sometime. Many churches do not encourage such outbursts. I personally think we should cheer for God as loudly as we do for our favorite singer, athlete or movie star. When I see people pressing in to touch their “idol,” I wonder why everyone casino pa natet does not press in in that same way when we are in church and praising the one who gave us our very lives.

Heavenly Father, I pray that we will all shout with joy and gratitude for all that You have done for each and every one of us. I pray that our worship will delight You and move Your Heart. I pray that we will all worship with a spirit of boldness and abandon. I pray that we will worship You with our whole heart. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”For we walk by faith, not by sight.”2 Corinthians 5:7
God wants us to live by faith. Faith that He loves us. Faith that He cares for us. Faith that He wants the best for us. Faith that He is ready to guide us if we will allow Him to. Faith that He is in control even when everything in our lives seems so out of control. Faith that He even exists.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will increase our faith this day. We ask for faith to believe You are who You say You are. We ask for faith to allow us to step out of the way and let You lead and guide us. We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
Are you a person who sees the glass half empty or half full? Our attitude directly affects our ability to find joy in this life. Some days may seem easier than others to give thanks to God, but there is joy in thanking God for all that is good with your life even if there are some things going on which you may not consider good. The fact that you woke up this morning should be reason enough to say thanks. Learning to live a life of praise during the peaks and valleys will add spring to your step. How about seeing the glass so full it is overflowing! God is a God of abundance. Hold onto that thought each and every day!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for every small and big gift in each of our lives. I pray that we will each be grateful to You for your goodness and Your faithfulness even when it doesn't appear to us in the moment that these things are true. I pray that we will all rejoice and be glad that we have been granted one more day on this earth to enjoy our family and friends and to serve Your Kingdom. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.” Psalm 36:5
I can look back on my life and see over and over again God's faithfulness even during the wilderness years when it didn't seem like God was around or paying attention, I can see now how He has continuously worked things out for my good. But what about us? I personally want God to look down at me and say “I know that I can always count on Carolyn.” This is very, very important to me. I want God to know that I am dependable. I want Him to feel that whatever He asks me to do, I will do it exactly as He asks me to do it and do it to the very best of my ability. What about you? Have you ever thought about being called faithful by God. I ask you to think about it today. It will change your outlook, your perspective and your life.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will be able to call us faithful. I pray that You will be able to depend on us. I pray that when You call us, we will answer and will fulfill the purposes You have for our lives to the very best of our ability. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

SUNDAY, MAY 13th(Mother's Day)
”Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12
Today is the day that we celebrate Mother's Day. It is that one day a year that is set aside to tell our mother's how important they have been in our lives – how grateful we are for all that they have done for us. But what if you can't say that about your own mother. What if your mother has not been there for you. Has not supported you. Has not been a good mother. What if you and your mother are estranged? God says that we are to honor our mothers. That does online casino dgfev not mean we have to agree with everything they have done to us that we perceive as unjust or unfair, but we must honor our earthly mothers in order to be under God's blessing. We are to forgive our mothers for the unforgiveable. If you can't do this alone, ask Him for help. God knows that bitterness, resentment and unforgivingness ruin our lives and that is why He commands us to honor our mothers. Please note this is not a suggestion – it is a commandment.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that I had a mother who was always there for me. I thank you that I had a mother who always cared about my life and cheered me on. I thank you that I had a mother who knew and loved Jesus and raised me in church. I pray for all those who can't say the same about their mothers. I pray that You will give them strength to forgive their mothers for those things that have caused them hurt and pain. I thank you that you are the God of mended relationships. I pray for mended relationships. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” Psalm 42:1-2
Do you hunger for a relationship with God? Can you claim this verse as your heart’s cry? Do you long to know Him? Do you look forward to speaking with Him? Do you want to hear from Him? Do you want Him to reveal Himself to you more and more each day? He longs for us in that way. I pray that you too will long for that type of relationship with Him. You may ask how do you get such a relationship? My answer is one prayer at a time. One moment reading His Word at a time. One moment seeking His Will for your life at a time.

Heavenly Father, I pray that you will instill in each of us a desire to know You, serve You, worship You, communicate with You and please You. I pray that our relationship with You will grow stronger and more vibrant with each passing day. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
”And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians4:19
This is a verse that you should commit to memory. This is a verse that you should write down on a piece of paper and read every day. This is especially true if you are a worrier by nature. When you are thinking about the bills that you don’t have the money to pay this month, when you are worried how you are going to provide for your children’s education, when you are concerned about having a roof over your head, this is the verse to hang onto when it does not appear that there is much else to hang onto.

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are the God that supplies all our needs. I thank You that You are ever mindful of our needs. I pray that You will give us the strength to believe that You are the supplier of our needs when times are lean and money is scarce. I pray for all of our needs Lord. I lay them down at the foot of the cross. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

God promises that he will raise the poor out of the dust and lift the needy out of the ash heap. If you want to stand on the mountain, believe God’s promises when you are in the valley. Pray His promises back to Him. He will never let you walk alone. You will see the end of the season of lack if you hold fast to your faith.

Heavenly Father, I pray for all those who are in a season of lack and need. I pray that You will supply all of their needs. You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.” Psalm 8:3-5
When you think about our God – creator of heaven and earth and all that is — isn't it unbelievable to really grasp the fact that He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with each and every one of us. Many people do not feel they are worthy of a relationship with God. This is a lie. God loves all of us – exactly as we are – and desires to help each of us become all we were created to be.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that You care for each of us. I thank you that You care about our circumstances, our struggles, dreams and our desires. I thank You that You desire to have an intimate, personal relationship with each of us. I pray that You will show us how to grow closer to You each day. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

That He will help you and defend you and strengthen you!

I pray that You will strengthen all those who need strengthening and defend all those who need defending. I pray that those You help will have a heart of gratitude and will forever remember Your faithfulness and mercy. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
